I thought it was headship, too: The man: The head of the woman; Man: Christ; Christ: God.
Sorry, on my first cup of coffee 🙂
I’m not entirely sure: That passage has always confused me, too

I’m teasing Pastor Rick that he needs to let us retake the picture to include our cat. I even sent him a picture of the cat to prove he’s cute enough to be up in our showcase, LOLMarch 18, 2015 at 3:35 pm in reply to: Having Church Communion #4735
Thanks, Linda! That’s our church picture.March 18, 2015 at 3:27 pm in reply to: Having Church Communion #4733
Linda, fabulous book recommendation!
I own it/have read it & Don Webb seems pretty doctrinally sound. I’ve also had the privilege of hearing him preach & getting to know him. Great guy! Here’s here in Indiana about an hour and a half away from me and I would definitely make the effort to go hear him on a Sunday morningMarch 18, 2015 at 9:10 am in reply to: Having Church Communion #4728
Sharleen: I am looking up those e-mail for you. It was a couple weeks ago, before March 1st, and there’s a lot to go through. I’ll get them to you as soon as I find them. Sorry for the delay.March 17, 2015 at 9:40 am in reply to: Having Church Communion #4708
Sharleen: Very interesting point!!! Something I’ve never thought of; food for thought!
I’ll pull the e-mail up for you.March 15, 2015 at 2:39 pm in reply to: Having Church Communion #4684
Sharleen: If you’re asking in general: In my experience, they pass out the “bread” (some sort of tiny wafer cracker) and “wine” (grape juice) and have a Scripture reading, usually 1 Cor 11. In both Christian churches I’ve been in, there was a time of personal reflection to confess sin. Pastor Kurth doesn’t do that; he doesn’t believe in it. I recently asked him why (for I was shocked that he didn’t). He said that Christ paid it all & we should be focusing on Him & what He did, not ourselves. If you need more of his explanation, I’ll be happy to find the e-mail & copy & paste it to you.
If this isn’t what you were asking, I apologize.
