Why Men Don’t See

Have you ever stared at a puzzle or thought about a riddle for a long time only to feel silly once you see the solution?

Once you know the answer you think, “why didn’t I see that before, it is so clear!”

Now that you see what is the fellowship of the mystery, you probably have had the thought, “why don’t others see it? It is so clear!”

One reason men don’t see is because it is not made known to them (Col 1:26). After all, God kept it secret for ages (Eph 3:5). It is our job to make all men see (Eph 3:9; Col 4:4).

But that doesn’t explain what keeps men from seeing the mystery of Christ after it has been clearly laid out before their face. If someone doesn’t see something right in front of their face, there is a high chance they are blind.

Paul describes blindness.
Men are blinded by the law and good works (2 Cor 3:14).
Men are blinded by deceitful teaching (2 Cor 4:2-4).
Men are blinded by their own heart (Eph 4:18).

This is why it is important to separate law from grace, to speak truth with integrity, and to make sure men are saved before explaining their fellowship with Christ.

When someone is blind, they are lost. To make all men see you must remove the blinders.
