      SWORDS Bible Study: What Are Our Spiritual Blessings Part 6

      We are blessed to be called to be saints!

      We are not born this way. We are not able to by our own power to be saints. This happens only by believing the gospel of the grace of God and becoming the beloved of God!   Saint means to be holy, to be devoted and consecrated to God, set apart from the world to be in service to our God, and to love the saints in the body of Christ!

      A saint is not a position given to someone after death by another man for his good works or so called miracles, such as is the Roman Catholic false belief.

      Rom 1:6-7 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

      1Co 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

      Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

      1Th 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

      1Th 4:7 For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

      2Ti 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

      2Th 2:13-14 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

      Phm_1:5 Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints;

      When we were saved, we were blessed to be instantly sanctified!

      Sanctified means:

      1. Made holy; consecrated; set apart for sacred services.
      2. Affectedly holy. (KJB Dictionary)

      Saints are sanctified by God the very moment we believe.

      1Co 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

      1Co 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

      Col 1:22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:

      We are blessed to have God in our body

      We were built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit!

      Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

      Eph 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

      Rom 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

      Rom 8:10-11 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.   But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

      Tit 3:5-6 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;     Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

      1Co 14:25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

      Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

      We are blessed to have the Word of God

      The Lord our God has given us His very word. He put everything we need into what we call our Bible. He tells us the story of mankind from beginning to end. He gives us the meaning of our lives today and what is waiting for us in future heaven with Him. We have His instructions for living life well for Him. We see that He has given His word not only for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness, but also that we may be perfect and thoroughly furnished unto all good works! Not only for our learning, but through patience and comfort of the scriptures we might have hope. We are cleansed by the water of the word, and we have been given the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

      2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

      2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

      2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

      Rom 15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

      Eph 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

      2Co 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

      Remember to celebrate our Lord’s death until He comes, as given us by the Lord through our Apostle Paul! And pray one for another!

      THE GOSPEL THAT SAVES
      “I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved … that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
