Has Your Faith Been Detoured by an Angel of Light? Part 5: Salvation Gospel

      By Mari

Are you saved by the gospel God has given to us for today?

The gospel that is of the power to stablish you?

Or has your faith been detoured by a mingled gospel of law and grace? In this present day, the gospel that saves was given to the newly raised Apostle Paul God’s chosen vessel, from the resurrected Jesus Christ in Heaven:

Act 9:15 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he (Saul/Paul) is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

Rom_16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

And…1Co 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Most Christians are taught that the following is the gospel that saves them.

Joh_3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

However, where is the cross and where is the resurrection here? It is NOT here. It is not in any of the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John.

What they taught was that Jesus Christ was the Son of God and the gospel of the kingdom: that the Messiah had come to establish Israel’s kingdom where they would receive salvation.

This gospel (good news) was given to Israel. Nothing about the import of Christ’s death for our sins or about His resurrection defeating death for us all. It is good to remember that even the devils knew and believed that Jesus is the Son of God!

Mat 8:29 And, behold, they (devils) cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

The Apostle Peter CONDEMNED the Jews for Christ’s death! He did NOT glory in the cross, but preached it as a condemnation. Listen to the indictment he gave Israel!

Act 2:36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Did the Jews rejoice? NO, they were pricked in their heart, afraid and had no idea what to do!

Act 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Under this gospel there was only one thing they could do…The Apostle Peter told them to repent and be baptized (in water as John the Baptist had done prior) for the REMISSION OF SINS, and to receive the Holy Ghost!

Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Is this your belief now? That you must be water baptized for the remission of your sins? In order to receive the Holy Ghost? Understanding that you await a FUTURE salvation? That you must ENDURE to the end to ensure your salvation?

Mat_24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mar_13:13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

You will ONLY find the gospel that saves today in the epistles of the Apostle Paul! (Romans 16:25, 1 Cor 15:1-4) Believing this gospel means you are INSTANTLY saved the very moment you believe, sealed by the Holy Ghost, and made part of the NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST, the body of Christ!

NO OTHER APOSTLE teaches us this about the FINISHED work of Christ on the cross, taking the penalty for our sins when we first believe!

My friend and sister in Christ, Ness Anne Wallwork shared it this way, and I will also share it with you:

      “Apostle Paul teaches us that;

While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Romans 5:8.

When we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son. Romans 5:10.

We are saved through faith in His blood. Romans 3:25.

We have redemption through His blood. Ephesians 1:7.

We are justified by His blood. Romans 5:9.

We are reconciled in the body of His flesh, through death. Colossians 1:21, 22.

We have peace through the blood of His Cross. Colossians 1:2.

We are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13.

We are baptized into His death. Romans 6:3. (NOT by water or human hands, but by the operation of God. Col 2:12)

We are made one Body by the Cross. Ephesians 2:16.

The Covenant of the Law was nailed to the Cross. Colossians 2:14.

He died that they which live should no longer live unto themselves but unto Him Who died for them and rose again.  2 Corinthians 5:15.

He died that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. I Thessalonians 5:10.

Christ crucified is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

      1 Corinthians 1:23, 24.

We are to boast in the Cross alone. Galatians 6:14.

We are to show forth the Lord’s death till He come. I Corinthians 11:26.

Little wonder Paul’s message is called “the preaching of the Cross”

      I Corinthians 1:18.

We are saved by the preaching of the cross today. You find our gospel (good news) for us in the epistles of the Apostle Paul. We are only to glory in the cross! To us it is salvation, not condemnation!

Gal_6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Do not be detoured by an angel of light or one of his ministers who teach you that you are in any way under the law and issues that were ONLY for Israel…as taught by the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. (These books are FOR us and our understanding, but not the message TO us.) Or, perhaps even being taught that we are now Israel! We are NOT.

The 12 Apostles were instructed to witness and preach to Israel, not we Gentiles.   When they got their own ducks all in line, they were to go to everyone, preaching the covenants, laws and works to prove ones faith to the world.

However, there was a BIG CHANGE when Israel rejected Christ and stoned Stephen, who was full of the Holy Ghost! (Acts 7:55)

The Lord Jesus Christ from heaven raised up Saul to become the Apostle Paul to the Gentiles, giving him a newly revealed gospel: the gospel of the grace of God. This is the gospel you are saved by today, without the LAW, but by GRACE through faith in the finished work of Christ on the cross.

Eph_2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Act_20:24   But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

It is a serious problem to be taught a gospel that was not meant for us, but for Israel! It negatively encourages us to follow the teachings of Christ TO Israel, which was of the law! Once this is done it is fairly impossible to avoid mingling law and grace, which was NOT the intent of our Lord and Saviour. It is done by those who do NOT know how to rightly divide the word of truth. (2 Tim 2:15)

Do not be detoured by an angel of light or one of his deceptive ministers by the teachings not meant for YOU today. Do not be stumped by seeming contradictions in the Bible that only appear as a result of not rightly dividing the word of truth. There are simple, makes sense, stops confusion and frustration answers by learning to rightly divide what is for Israel and what is for the body of Christ. What is mystery and what is prophecy. It is an exciting journey with one’s mind and spirit being untangled from the false doctrines of men!

Beware of being guided into following after Jesus in His earthly walk with Israel. You cannot in truth, do it! In this present time, in the dispensation of grace WE ARE IN CHRIST A NEW CREATURE, which is the body of Christ! We are under pure grace through faith, not mixed up at all under the law or covenants of Israel!

Did you realize that we are NOT to know Christ after the flesh anymore! We are NOT to follow the earthly ministry of Christ?

It is because He came to Israel, not to us! (Matthew 10:6; Matthew 15:24) Israel was to be the means of salvation to the world through Christ, but they rejected Christ as their Messiah! The word of God tells us so! He tells us clearly that we who believe are a new creature in HIM, and that we can understand now and know the unsearchable riches of Christ!

2Co 5:16 Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

      Eph_3:8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

Beware of NOT being taught that our Apostle to the Gentiles, Paul says to follow him, as his ministry and ours is sharing the gospel of grace of God. The APOSTLE PAUL IN CHRIST JESUS HAS BEGOTTEN US THROUGH THIS GOSPEL. (1Cor 4:15) It is to be shared EVERYWHERE and in EVERY church!

Act_20:24   But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

1Co 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Php 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

1Co 4:15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

1Co 4:16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

1Co 4:17 For this cause have I sent unto you Timotheus, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who shall bring you into remembrance of my ways which be in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

Beware of those who do NOT preach according to the revelation of the mystery NOW revealed to us! Beware of those who do not teach the fellowship of the mystery!

Rom_16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,

Eph 3:9-12   And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Do not be detoured by an angel of light or one of his deceptive ministers by the teachings that are NOT meant for YOU today. Mixing up doctrines that were for Israel and not for the body of Christ.

      THE GOSPEL THAT SAVES
“I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved … that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

      – 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 (KJB)
