Before we are able to complete an advanced math problem we must first learn the basics of addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Without understanding that 1+1=2 we will have a hard time coming up with the right answer to a problem like 8+49=57. This is why we learn the basics of math early on in school because without an understanding of the basics we will never be able to understand more advanced math in later school years. We would also be incapable of practically applying math skills to our lives outside of school. Math is a very helpful skill when it comes to being able to manage money in order to provide for yourself and your family on a day to day basis. If you find yourself having a hard time with a math problem, don’t you go back to the basics that you already know? The same goes with many things in life, we always learn the basics of a job or skill before we can properly succeed in those things. The Basics are crucial, if we get those things wrong, we can rarely come to a correct conclusion unless it is by chance.
It seems everyone always has a different answer for the same Bible questions. How can this be so? Ignorance is rampant in the church and people everywhere are coming up with the wrong conclusion to life problems because they have not first properly learned the basics of sound Bible doctrine. This becomes problematic when trying to apply what we know to our daily life; things don’t seem to connect or be consistent. Confusion floods in and makes us feel as if a knowledge of truth cannot be understood or attained leaving us feeling as if there is little hope of a true answer to our problems.
Do you find the Bible to be hard to understand? Are you confused about how to attain salvation or what it is that you need to be saved from? Are you clueless of what God’s will is for your life? Do you question how God works in your life on a daily basis? These are all things I have wondered and have had questions about throughout my life. But don’t worry, there is hope! I am thankful for those who have helped point me to God’s word so that I might learn the Basics of Bible truth and have answers to these questions. Now I can be persuaded of truth for myself and find my authority in God’s word alone. (Romans 3:4 KJV)
The purpose of this blog is to share basics of Bible truth I have come to understand from my personal study of God’s word. I hope to encourage others in the truth that God’s word can be understood. I know and acknowledge that I do not know all truth. But I do believe that God has inspired the Bible and preserved it for us to know the things He would have us know.
If you find yourself questioning what you know, go back to the Basics. If you have not yet learned basic truth, don’t worry Ignorance can be cured and there has never been a better time to start learning! The basics However, are just a starting point. hopefully you will continue to grow and learn and advance in your own understanding through personal Bible study so you can be an unashamed workman who rightly divides the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15 KJV)
