The Complete Will of God
After centuries of prophecy about a coming Messiah, Jesus was born, but his will was not yet complete.
Jesus ministered to Israel fulfilling prophecies and confirming promises, but his will was not yet complete.
He died on the cross fulfilling the scriptures, but his will was not yet complete.
Three days later he emptied the tomb and resurrected from the dead! … but his will was not yet complete.
Forty days later he ascended to heaven then poured out the Holy Spirit, but his will was not yet complete.
It was not until Christ reappeared and revealed the mystery of his will to the apostle Paul that his perfect will was known.
Paul writes, “Having made known unto us the mystery of his will….”, and “Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God” (Ephesians 1:9; Colossians 1:25).
If your understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ does not include the revelation of his will, then what he has done through his death and resurrection will remain a mystery.
For His glory,
