Be Faithful
There is no work required from you for salvation, because if you are saved it is because you trusted the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The only thing ever required of us in Paul’s epistles is to be faithful (1 Cor 4:2).
Faithfulness does not save you. Paul is describing to saved people what it means to be a good minister of Christ and a steward of the mysteries of God.
Concerning ministry, Paul says about faithfulness “it is required.” Why? Because if a minister is not faithful to the word and will of God, then they are not ministering for the Lord at all. They are making a mess.
“What if I am not faithful?”
Then by definition you would not be stewarding anything the Lord gave you.
Faithfulness does not require a big ministry, a great number of people, amount of resources, nor some great ability or skill. It is the persistent continuing in the truth of God.
How do you begin? Account yourself a minister of Christ.
If you do not account yourself a minister, you might think it is not your job to be faithful, but it is – Christ positioned every member of his body to minister. It is required of ministers to be faithful.
By grace,
Justin “minister” Johnson
