      Part 8: What’s In a Number? What Good Is Believing In a Lie?

      Have you ever had your palm read, your fortune told or checked out your horoscope in the newspaper? Today you can also use a phone and for a few dollars have a “psychic reading”, or use Runes, Tarot cards or many of the other forms of witchcraft that are widely available. All these are presented to those who do not put their faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ who is the way, the truth and the life. This type of searching for new or different revelations or divinations have always been condemned of God.
       
      Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
      Lev 19:31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
       
      Or, some may simply read or listen to one of the many heralded, though Biblically deceitful teachers, who publish their books (frequently Bible Study books no less!) or are on TV dishonestly declaring that God speaks messages directly to THEM, for others, meaning of course, YOU. Often it seems they are also teaching the false health, wealth and prosperity gospel, while it appears that THEY are the only ones who prosper greatly! They are also frequently part of the “name it and claim it group” who are deceived and deceiving others because NEITHER know how to rightly divide the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15)
       
      The list of false apostles and deceitful workers is long…and as Christ says through the Apostle Paul:
       
      2Co 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
      2Co 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
      2Co 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
       
      Gal_5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
       
      Has your faith been detoured by an angel of light or one of his ministers, into believing that GOD is speaking to ANOTHER person DIRECTLY, AUDIBLY, and NOT PLAINLY to YOU, a member of HIS BODY the NEW CREATURE…through the finished word of God?
       
      If you do not know who you are in Christ, you need to start studying the word of God right NOW ! Romans through Philemon! Otherwise you will have a lifetime of false rabbit trails to follow and be of no earthly good to Christ at all!
       
      Has your faith been detoured by an angel of light or one of his ministers into believing that God will fulfill all your health needs, wealth desires and prosperity in your life? Believing all you have to do is give enough money to ministries, have enough faith or simply “name your desire and claim it” to be fulfilled and happy? Are you allowing yourself to be centered in a shallow, man made gospel that is contrary to the word of God in the dispensation of grace today?
       
      Do you not know that WE have been CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST the moment we believed? That it is not all about us and our life anymore, but about CHRIST LIVING IN US, about the life we live in the flesh today is about living by the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.
       
      Gal_2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
       
      Have you heard or been taught what the dispensation of the grace of God is? If not…why not? Have you heard or been taught what rightly dividing is? If not…why not? Have your heard or been taught what is the revelation of the mystery? If not…why not? It is the ONLY way that has the power to STABLISH you in the gospel and preaching of Jesus Christ.
       
      Eph_3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
       
      2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
       
      Rom_16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
       
      Have you heard or been taught about the fellowship of the mystery? If not…why not? God WANTS you to know and to make sure that we “make ALL men see what is the fellowship of the mystery”. It has been hidden in God from the beginning of the world, but NOW is made known!
       
      Eph_3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
       
      I know many who sadly do NOT know who they are in Christ, nor how the operation of God works today in this dispensation of grace. They are confused and easily led away from the pure word of God, having their itchy ears scratched by those teaching heresy. It must seem easier to listen to false teachers rather than to study to show themselves approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. I would rather know and live in the truth of God, wouldn’t you? What is the point of believing a lie? To live in the false comfort of delusion?
       
      2Ti_2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
       
      The word of God is clear about the practice of divination of the future by supernatural means. It is expressly forbidden.
      It is also a lie out of the pit of hell that God is speaking special messages through a “superior…or holier…or appointed” man or woman, to or for us today.
      Today, EVERYONE who believes in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ unto salvation, plus nothing…is IN CHRIST, a member of the body of Christ, a saint and an ambassador for Christ. COMPLETE in Christ. We have EACH been given the ministry of reconciliation!
       
      God is not a respecter of persons, nor does He have prophets or apostles today in the dispensation of grace. God speaks plainly to EACH of us through His finished word, the Bible. WE have the mind of Christ!
       
      Col_2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
       
      Rom_12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
      Php_4:21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you.
      2Co_5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
       
      2Co_5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
       
      2Co_5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
       
      1Co_2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
      NO believer is in anyway short changed by God!
       
      In fact, we have even been BLESSED with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places IN CHRIST!
       
      Eph_1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
       
      Each and every one of us who believes has FULL ACCESS to God in the EXACT SAME way, through the ONE mediator, Jesus Christ, through faith in the word of God.
       
      1Ti_2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
       
      We have faith by HEARING the word of GOD. He talks to us ONLY through His completed word, the Bible.
      Rom_10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
       
      There are NO new or special revelations outside the word of God.
       
      Today, God speaks to anyone who believes that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross to take the punishment for our sins, to save us and to make us righteous in Him. We believe He was buried and rose again, defeating death for us!
       
      Act_16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
       
      Rom_5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
      Rom_3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
       
      Has your faith been detoured by an angel of light or one of his ministers into the CORRUPTION of believing that others can converse with or hear God and you cannot? Or that another person has more respect or good will from God than you do, thereby He is talking to some directly, even audibly, or through dreams and visions and not so to you? God says differently…
       
      Act_10:34 Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
       
      Thousands upon thousands listen to those who are popular and set themselves up as special messengers from God, (such as Joyce Meyers, Beth Moore and others…) who believe and teach they are more special than you are in Christ, because of their messages and new revelations direct from God for other believers. Putting themselves up as another mediator between you and God, as YOU do not receive these special disclosures from God, as they supposedly do.
       
      I ask WHY would folks listen to such heresy? The Lord tells us plainly that many will not endure sound doctrine…and will turn away from the truth, to fables fulfilling their own lusts.
       
      2Ti_4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
      Please, do not turn away your ears from the truth; do not be turned to fables, but check whatever anyone is teaching against the word of God for truth.
      What good does a fable give one? None. What good is it to “feel good” for a time about a lie? None.
      Please do not be let your faith be detoured by an angel of light or one of his many ministers!
